Training Classes and Materials
SCATS training classes are regulatory awareness courses with the goal of developing knowledge and understanding of OSHA and State of Nevada safety requirements. Safety and health training programs are designed to:
- Improve hazard recognition skills of management and employees
- Identify management activities employers can use to protect their employees from workplace hazards
- Enable a more efficient and cost effective business operation
SCATS training classes are not intended to replace employer site specific formal, documented, and hands-on instruction. Reference materials (i.e., manufacturer instructions, manuals, consensus and proprietary standards), presentations and evaluations of skills must be followed before the use of tools and/or equipment, as well as personal protective equipment.
Your Training Partner:
Training is an integral part of any successful safety and health program and SCATS can be a valuable asset to assist you in your training efforts. Each SCATS office publishes a training calendar online.
SCATS offers a wide range of classes which are constantly updated to best meet the needs of the everchanging workplace environment. These programs help employers with their safety program development activities and hazard recognition skills.
By request, our classes may be conducted at your facilities. SCATS has many specialty and conference programs that are designed to meet your business needs.
Safety and Health Practitioner Certificate Program:
SCATS initiated this unique program to recognize participants who have completed 27 SCATS training classes (10 core, 9 area of interest, and 8 electives). Those attaining this goal are awarded a special certificate recognizing their significant accomplishment.
