My name is Nuray Ebel. I'm the VP of Operations at Haws. Headquartered in Sparks, Nevada, our home since 1977. Our number one priority is and always will be safety.

Hi, my name is Alexandra Spounias. I'm the Safety Specialist here at Haws. I received my Safety Practitioner Certification through SCATS Nevada. My role here at Haws is to make sure that employees work safely. Before we partnered with SCATS, we saw that our safety programs really needed to be reviewed and brought up to date.

So, the biggest thing that SCATS has brought to our facility is that they have helped us improve our workplace safety programs. Help us identify hazards, which has helped us train our employees and make them more aware of safety in our facility. Before everybody is on site, we talk about being a part of SHARP and how important it is. So, our employees are super proud of the SHARP level program that we have obtained here at Haws.

We have been involved with the SHARP program since 2017. For me personally, I'm really proud of the accomplishment that we've made here. And that we can team up with SHARP, and give the information to other employers so they know it's out there. Working with SCATS has been instrumental in making safety not just a program, but a learned mindset together, and a collaboration.
