As of March 16, 2020 SCATS will be closed to the public until May 4, 2020. (no walk-ins, no classes, and no consultation visits)

SCATS will be available by telephone during normal business hours.

Jake Huber, CSP

Jake Huber, a Reno-Sparks native, has been an Industrial Hygienist with the Nevada’s Safety Consultation and Training Sections since July 2013.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Nevada.  Jake has 20 plus years’ experience in the mining services industry where he acquired management experience in environmental health and safety, laboratory practices, facilities and project management.  For the next 2.5 years, as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for a chemical manufacturing firm in the capacitor industry, Jake’s skills were augmented with experience in hazardous waste characterization and management, alkali and combustible metals and ISO 14001 auditing.  In order to further assist businesses, Jake became a Certified Safety Professional at the beginning of 2016.
